Why ask about dogs in parks?

The Bethlehem Parks & Recreation Master Plan recommended that the Town look for opportunities to provide on-leash access for dogs in identified parks. FBPR is conducting research on the issue in consultation with the Parks & Recreation Department.

This effort is not intended just for dog owners — the goal is to enhance the park experience for dog owners and their dogs, while keeping our Town parks clean and safe for all park patrons.

What about the survey?

The survey will be available through January 31, 2018; it is open to all. It is anonymous unless the respondent wishes to supply his or her email address to be entered into the prize drawing.

Results are confidential; FBPR will aggregate and publicly report research findings, but no responses will be publicly associated with any respondent.

FBPR will take results into consideration when making recommendations to the Town, however, we do not dictate Town policy, and the Parks Department and Town Board are not required to abide by survey results or follow our recommendations.
